HOW IS IT MEASURED?

We measure from outside wall to outside wall, excluding the roof overhang.

Click on the dimensions button at the top of the plan view screen to show the dimensions including the roof overhang. 

• To add balustrades, click on the balustrade icon at the top of the plan view page and then draw a line over the dotted line of your awning to add the balustrades (keep your mouse clicked as you draw the line).

HOW DO I CHANGE THE DESIGN OF THE BALUSTRADE?

• Once you have added the balustrades, click on the balustrade in the plan view with your mouse.
• Then select 'Customise' in the pop up window.

PYRAMID HIP ROOFS (only for Prima system)

A pyramid hip roof is a roof where all corners of the roof come together at the top. This can be configured with awning or without awning.

Most pyramid hip roofs are finished with a metal ridge cap and optionally a ball/weathercock.

IS THE ROOF COVERING ALWAYS INCLUDED?

• Yes. Shingles are always included in apex roofs. You can choose from the following 3 colours: red, green or black. (Please note that the configurator offers you the possibility to remove the shingles from the configuration) 
• For flat roofs, a complete package is always provided which consists of: rubber sheeting (EPDM), roof vent flange, sufficient sealant to adhere the sheeting and wide aluminium roof trim with screws to finish the eaves neatly.

HOW DO I CREATE INNER WALLS?

• Click on the wall icon at the top of the page. Then you can draw walls in your log cabin with your mouse. Please note that you can only draw walls that are straight or have 90 degree angles.
• For the Pro system, walls can only be drawn between the poles.

HOW THICK ARE THE POLES?

• All posts (except the Pro-system posts) are 12x12 cm thick. The posts of the Pro-system are no less than 14x14 cm thick.

WHY CAN'T I REMOVE THE POSTS?

• Posts that are automatically used in the design are required for structural reasons to guarantee the stability of the garden house and roof span. Only in very few cases can they be removed, for example, when they were added for design in existing templates. In this case, you can remove these posts by clicking on the dotted line of the awning and selecting 'delete posts'.

CAN I MOVE POSTS?

• In some cases the posts can be moved (a little). You can find out by left clicking your mouse, and try to drag the posts in the map.

CAN I ADD POSTS?

• You can add posts by clicking on the dotted line of the awning with your mouse and then select 'add post' in the pop-up window. You can then drag the post to the desired spot.

CAN LONGER OR SHORTER POSTS BE DELIVERED?

• If your design allows this, posts can be extended or shortened by us. Please indicate at the completion step in the comments field how long or how short the posts should be.

HOW DO I INSERT A GLASS SLIDING DOOR IN MY DESIGN?

• Click on the wall in the plan view or click on the dotted line of the awning/canopy. Then select 'insert glass sliding door' in the pop-up window.

THE POP-UP WINDOW DOES NOT SHOW THE OPTION TO INSERT A GLASS SLIDING DOOR

• It is possible that your wall is not long enough to insert a glass sliding door. Try extending the wall and then try again.
• If you cannot or do not want to extend the wall, we also offer the possibility of a fixed glass frame as an alternative. In this case, please indicate at completion that you would like this in the comments box at completion.

HOW DO I MAKE THE GLASS SLIDING DOOR BIGGER OR SMALLER?

• Click on the glass sliding door in the plan view and click on 'enlarge glass sliding door' or 'reduce glass sliding door' in the pop-up window. If one of these two options are not shown then it means that the sliding wall cannot be made larger or smaller.

WHY CAN'T I MAKE A WIDER GLASS SLIDING DOOR?

• We have to set certain rules in the configurator regarding the sizes. However, sometimes this can be deviated from, and the glass sliding doors can still be made larger. Please submit your design at completion and include your question in the comments box. Our drawing department can assess your design and let you know if it is possible to change the glass sliding door in terms of size.

CAN THE GLASS SLIDING DOOR ALSO BE MADE HIGHER?

• In most cases, the glass sliding door is 209 cm high. This can also be increased to 219 cm. If you would like to do so, please indicate this at completion in the comments box when you submit the configuration.

ARE THERE ANY OPTIONS FOR THE GLASS SLIDING DOOR?

• Once you have inserted a glass sliding door in your design, some options will appear in step 6.
• For example, you can order anti-draught brushes for your glass sliding door. These brushes can be placed between the glass panels in order to minimise draught.
• It is also possible to order a cylinder lock for your glass sliding door. This allows you to lock your glass sliding door to protect you from burglary.

Tip! Order your lock at the same time as your glass sliding door because it cannot be assembled afterwards.

IS THERE A VIDEO THAT SHOWS WHAT THE GLASS SLIDING DOOR LOOKS LIKE AND HOW IT MOVES?

• Yes. Once you insert the glass sliding door in your design, you will see that a pop-up window opens. Here you can see videos and pictures of the glass sliding door.

CAN I CHOOSE WHICH DIRECTION THE DOORS MOVE?

• In some cases this is possible. Please indicate at completion in the comments box if you have specific wishes regarding this.

HOW DO I KNOW HOW MANY PANELS THERE ARE?

• The configurator will show how many panels will be delivered.

WHAT GLASS IS THE WALL MADE OF?

• The glass sliding doors are made with 10 mm thick tempered glass.

CAN I ALSO ORDER DOORS WITH SAFETY GLASS?

• It may be desirable, in the event that a log cabin is used for example as a classroom, that the doors have safety glass. This is pan option. The surcharge per pane is €50.00. In the case of a double door it is therefore €100.00. Please indicate that you want safety glass at completion in the comments box.

We recommended that you watch the movie, which is shown in step 3 (doors) as soon as you click on the 'more info' button.

• The doors are of very high quality and are no less than 56 mm thick! That's almost 6 cm!
• All doors are equipped with HR++ double glazing (except glass sliding walls and doors).
• All doors are equipped with a 3-point lock with SKG certificate (2 stars burglar resistant) (except glass sliding walls and doors).
• The wood of the doors is laminated and finger jointed by us, this prevents warping. Doors are fitted with adjustable hinges with matching covers.
• Rods are clickable (very useful when painting/cleaning).
• Doors are equipped with an aluminium wear strip (to protect the sill).
• Doors are equipped with such things as weather stripping, sealed windows, drainage slots and cover strips.

The Prima system is available in 60 cm increments. The following wall sizes are available:

• 120 cm
• 180 cm
• 240 cm
• 300 cm
• 360 cm
• 420 cm
• 480 cm
• 540 cm

• If you want larger than 540 cm, you will need to add a substructure (see the tip below)

Length:

28 mm wall thickness: longest wall length = 360 cm

44 mm wall thickness: longest wall length = 540 cm

Tip!

By clicking on the wall in the plan view, you can add a substructure that can double the maximum length.

The inner wall that is created can possibly (largely) be omitted. Only the short pieces of ± 10 cm on the sides need to remain for stability. If you do not want the walls, please indicate this when ordering.

Depth:

The Prima system has a maximum roof span of 420 cm (on 1 side). In addition, it is still possible to add an awning of up to 900 cm.

Tip!  Do you need a larger span? Please send us your configuration and mention how big it should be in the comments box at step 8. By using heavier roof purlins we may be able to offer you your desired dimensions.

Available sizes:

The log cabin system is available in 10 cm increments.

Tip! If necessary, we can make your log cabin to your exact specification in centimetres. In this case, please enter your measurements in the comments box at the comletion when you submit your design.

Length:

A length of 20 meters is possible in the configurator. If you want a log cabin that is longer than 20 meters, please send us your configuration and mention in the comments box at step 8 how long the log cabin should be.

Depth:

Maximum span on 1 side of the log cabin with a:

Saddle roof:               650 cm

Flat roof:                   500 cm

Asymmetrical roof:     500 cm

Pent roof:                  500 cm

You can also create an awning.

Tip! It is possible with all types of roofs to make the span larger. Please send your configuration in step 8 and mention your desired measurements in the comments box.

Select 'create canopy'.

Then click and drag the dotted line of the canopy to enlarge or resize it.

Tip! You can add (extra) posts by clicking on the dotted line and then selecting 'add posts'.

(Create a canopy which is less deep or deeper than your garden house)

Less deep:

Click on the wall icon at the top of the screen and then draw a horizontal line in your garden house from left to right to divide it into 2 parts. If necessary, move this line so that the sizes of your drawing work.

Then click on the back part of the right or left side of the garden house (depending on whether you want the canopy on to the right or left).

Then select 'create canopy'.

Then move the canopy dotted line with your mouse by clicking it and dragging it to the desired size.

Deeper:

Once you have created an even canopy on the side of your garden house, click on the front of the dotted line of the canopy.

Then select 'create canopy'.

You can then drag the dotted line to make the canopy deeper.

* The Pro-system allows only equivalent awnings.

TIP! YOU CAN ALSO START WITH AN EMPTY TEMPLATE IN THE FILTER MENU THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN CREATED WITH A DEEPER OR LESS DEEP CANOPY.

• Please choose the desired indoor canopy template to start with from the filter menu (step 1).

• To add walls under your canopy: Click on the wall icon at the top of the page and then draw the wall over the dotted line of your canopy (keep your mouse clicked while you draw)

FLAT ROOFS (Prima, Pro & log cabin)

• Contain purlins and roof sheathing.
• A complete package of EPDM rubber sheeting, roof vent flanges and sealant to glue the sheeting is included.
• Each flat roof also comes with wide aluminium roof trim and screws to finish the eaves beautifully.
• Maximum span of flat roofs can be made larger if desired. If you wish, please indicate the desired size in the comment box at completion and submit your configuration.

SADDLE ROOFS (Pro and Log Cabin system)

• These roofs consist of two inclined sides that intersect each other in the ridge.
• This type of roof is the most common roof because of its simplicity.
• The roof may contain rafters because of its length and span and has purlins that run from top to bottom in the Pro system and from front to back in the Log cabin system.
• The saddle roof comes with shingles roofing. With a choice of 5 colours (green, black, blue, brown or black)

PENT ROOFS                              (log cabbin-system)

• At the front, it looks almost like a log cabin with a flat roof but it's not! The roof of a log cabin with a pent roof slopes down from the front to the back.
• The roofing consists of EPDM rubber sheeting, which is supplied.

ASYMMETRICAL ROOF (log cabin-system) 

• With an asymmetrical roof, the two roof sides have uneven lengths.
• This roof comes with shingles with a choice of 5 colours (green, red, brown, black or blue).

WHICH ROOF SLOPES ARE AVAILABLE?

• The Pro system comes in 25 degrees and 40 degrees slope.
• The log cabin system comes in 17, 21, 26 or 30 degrees. Do you need a steeper roof slope? Please submit your design in the completion and mention the number of degrees in the comments box. A steeper roof slope is only possible with the log cabin system!
• With pyramid hip roofs, the slope is a given and cannot be adjusted. The slope is ± 30 degrees.

CAN I GET THE LOG CABIN WITH OTHER ROOFING?

• In most cases, your Lugarde dealer can order other roofing for you. In the configurator in step 2 you click 'no shingles' and answer the follow-up question.

DOES THE ROOF SLOPE TO ACCOMODATE WATER RUNOFF?

• Flat roofs have beveled purlins which give a light gradient to one side.

CAN I CHOOSE ON WHICH SIDE THE WATER WILL DRAIN?

• Yes, you can choose on which side the water will drain in the configurator (in most designs). You can make this choice in step 2.

CAN THE ROOF OVERHANG BE SHORTENED BY YOU?

• You can have us shorten the overhang at the factory for flat roofs in the log cabin and the Prima system at step 2. You can indicate this for each side.
• The Prima system flat roof is shortened to 3 cm. With log cabins it is shortened to 12 cm. Please note that if you shorten all sides so that you have arrange your rain drainage internally, because in that case there is no room to place your roof vent flange in the roof overhang.
• With point roofs and the Pro system it is not possible to shorten the roof overhang at the factory. Of course, in most cases it is possible to shorten the roof overhang during installation. You can discuss this together with your Lugarde dealer

• You can find our complete door range in step 3.
• Click on the desired door.
• You will then see + characters appear in the plan view.
• These + signs indicate where the door can be placed (where there is still enough space on the door).
• Then click on a + sign to place the door.

• Once the door has been placed in the plan view, you can drag the door with your mouse over to the wall to determine the correct position
• For example, if you want to have the door on the other side of a window, click on the door and then select 'move door' in the pop-up window.

• All doors (except type IN01H) are outward opening. The IN01H type is technically suitable for opening inwards in an outer wall.
• All doors can be made inward opening as long as they are placed in an inner wall. To do so, click on the door and select the 'flip door' option in the pop-up window.

• All single doors come standard as opening to the left. You can change them to open to the right free of charge. To do so, click on the door in the plan view and select 'flip hinge point' in the pop-up window.
• With all double doors, the right door opens first. This means that double doors are in fact right-turning. In the case of double doors it is not possible to make them open to the left.

Definition of opening to the left: if the hinges are on the left side of the door.
 
Definition of opening to the right: if the hinges are on the right side of the door.

• All doors that start with the code FG (frosted glass) are made with frosted glass.

CAN I ALSO ORDER CLEAR GLASS DOORS IN FROSTED GLASS?

• Yes. Clear glass doors can also be ordered in frosted glass. An additional charge of €50.00 per window is charged. (in the case of a double door it would be €100.00).
• Please specify at completion in the comments field which type of frosted glass you would like instead of clear glass.

CAN I ALSO ORDER CLEAR FROSTED GLASS DOORS IN CLEAR GLASS?

• Yes, this is possible. if you would like this, please indicate this at completion in the comments field.

CAN I ADD MUNTIN TO DOORS THAT DON'T HAVE ANY?

(Muntin are the decorative wooden slats that sit over the glass)

• Yes, that is possible. At completion you can indicate in the comments box which doors you would like to have delivered without muntin.

CAN I ORDER DOORS WITHOUT MUNTIN?

• Yes, that is possible. The surcharge per pane is €29.00. In the case of a double door it is therefore €58.00. Please indicate at completion in the comments box which door you would like to have muntin for. Also indicate how many sections you want (e.g. 6-sections)

CAN I PUT SOLAR PANELS AND SEDUM (GRASS) ON THE ROOFS?

• Yes, that is possible. We will then use not only heavier purlins but also more of them. The extra charge per metre is €100.00. For example, if your garden house Is 400x500 cm (floor size excl. roof overhang), this example would cost €375.00 extra.

CAN I ALSO LAY ROOF TILES ON MY SADDLE ROOF?

• Yes, that is possible. In step 2, for shingles, choose ‘NONE’. The question then is whether you intend to lay roofing materials that are heavier than 20 kg per m2. If your answer is YES, the shingles will be removed and your slope will be automatically changed to 26 degrees. You will not get a reduction for this but we will strengthen your roof so that it is suitable for the (heavier) roof tiles. For the steeper slope a surcharge is charged.

• In most cases, your Lugarde dealer can arrange the tiles for you and give you a quote.

CAN I ALSO PUT METAL ROOFING ON MY APEX ROOF?

• Yes. This is possible. Metal roofing can be chosen in step 2 as an alternative to shingles.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM SLOPE REQUIRED FOR A SHINGLES ROOF COVERING?

• The minimum slope for shingles is 15 degrees. If it is less than that, we will supply EPDM roofing instead of shingles.

WHAT TYPES OF DOORS ARE THERE?

• Single doors: these are available in both 77 cm wide and 100 cm wide and 180 cm and 193.5 cm high.
• Double doors: these are doors with 2 door halves which open outward. They are available in 100 cm, 121 cm and 151 cm width.
• Sliding doors: the sliding doors are very solid and of heavy quality. These are unloaded at your home by a portable forklift.
• The sliding doors come in 2 panels (total width 200 cm) or 4 panels (total width 300 cm).
• With a width of 200 cm, one panel slides in front of the other. With 4 panels, the 2 middle panels slide left and right. Do you want doors which open completely? Then choose the folding doors.
• Folding doors: folding doors are available in 3 widths: 150 cm, 200 cm and 240 cm. Folding doors can be opened completely like a harmonica.
• Garage doors: 3 types.
• Tilting door: tilted upwards and coated with brown boiler pressure impregnated wood.
• Double door: these are French doors.
• Electric door: this door is synthetic and is powered by a motor. Open and close using a remote control.
• Door frames: these are only frames without closures, glass etc. For example, if you want a passageway with a frame and a wooden decorative arch, you can use these frames.

• The windows are of very solid quality. With no less than a thickness of 56 mm (which is almost 6 cm!)
• All windows are equipped with HR ++ double glazing.
• Casement windows are equipped with a espagnolette closure (which closes the window over the entire length) and a window stay. These window stays have various positions that allow you to open the windows partially or completely. The window also has a locking handle with a push-button.
• The wood used for the windows is laminated and finger jointed by us, this prevents warping.
• Windows are fitted with adjustable hinges with matching covers.
• Muntin can be removed (very useful for cleaning or painting).
• Windows are also equipped with weather strips, sealed glass panes, drainage slots and cover strips.

• Casement windows: these are 2 window halves (a double window) which is available in more heights, widths and designs
• Hung windows: these are windows which open at the bottom outward. The expandable windows are available in multiple heights, widths and designs.
• Fixed windows: these are frames which cannot be opened but often have a very nice panoramic view, thanks to its height and width.
• Tilt and turn windows: 3 types available in various widths and heights. Tilt and turn windows have a very high-quality mechanism that allows the window to be tilted or rotated inwards. The double tilt and turn windows can be tilted and rotated independently of each other.
• Window frames: these are window frames without glass. The frames are equipped with a nice decorative arch at the top.

• In step 4 you will find our complete range of windows. Click on the desired window with your mouse.  You will then see + characters appearing in the plan view. These + characters indicate where there is room to place the window.
• Then click on a + sign and the window will be placed there.

• If the window is already placed in the plan view, you can drag the window (with your mouse) over to the wall to determine the correct position.
• Click on the window to show the sizes next to the window.
• For example, if you want to have the window on the other side of a door, click on the window and then select 'move window' in the pop-up window.

• All windows (except tilt and turn) are outward opening.
• The windows cannot be made on request to be inward or outward opening.

• All sizes displayed by the windows in the menu are the glass sizes only and do not include the frame. Once you place the window in the plan view, the sizes are shown including the frame.

• All the windows that start with the code FG (frosted glass) are made by us with frosted glass.

Are windows with clear glass also available in frosted glass?

• Yes. Windows with clear glass can also be ordered with frosted glass. An additional charge of €50.00 per window is required. (in the case of a double window it is €100.00). Please indicate in the comments box at step 8 which types of frosted glass you want instead of clear glass.

Can I order windows with frosted glass in clear glass also?

• Yes. This is possible. Should you wish to do so, please indicate this in step 8 in the Comments box.

Can I order the windows that come with muntin without the  muntin?

• Yes that is possible. You can use the comments box in the comletion to indicate which windows you want to have delivered without muntin.

Can I add muntin to windows that don't come with muntin?

• Yes, that is possible. The surcharge per pane is €29.00. In the case of a double door it is therefore €58.00. Please indicate at completion in the comments box which door you would like to have muntin for. Also indicate hom many sections you want (e.g. 6 sections)

• If the log cabin is used as a classroom, it may be desirable that the windows have tempered glass. This is an option. The surcharge per pane is €50.00. In the case of a double window, that is €100.00. Please indicate at completion in the comments box that you want tempered glass.

• Yes. Foundation beams are always included in a Lugarde garden house/veranda/garage. Foundation beams are boiler pressured impregnated and therefore suitable for ground contact.

Pressure treated impregnated foundation beams are always supplied by Lugarde with every garden house/veranda. These beams are the first parts of your garden house which are in contact with the ground (your foundation). Below we give some tips for your foundation. If in doubt and/or for further advice, you can also consult your local dealer.

• Place your construction SOLELY on a foundation that is 100% flat and level;

• A suitable foundation is for example: clinkers, tiles or poured concrete.

• Tip: When laying the foundation you need to take into account the property line and you must always measure from the overhang of the roof because of the drainage. It is also recommended to leave some space around the garden house for the (re)painting.

• Tiled foundation: If you choose a tiled/clinked foundation, you should take a number of things into account: construction site needs to be excavated to a depth of 20 cm at a minimum, fill up the site with yellow sand, compact the ground with a compacter machine, the tile plateau must protrude at least 5 cm above the ground level so that you do not get any problems with the initial wetting. Never make the tile area larger than the garden house because otherwise the water will run under the lower edge.
• Unsound foundation. In the event of an unsound foundation, you should never proceed to the build stage. This inevitably leads to unnecessary 'annoying' problems such as the cracking of walls, doors and windows that do not close and even leakage. Complaints caused by a faulty foundation (laid by yourself or third parties) are never covered by our warranty.

• If you would like to receive a foundation plan with the exact measurements, you can ask us about three weeks after your order.

• No. The assembly is never included. If you wish to outsource the assembly, you can indicate in the comments box at completion that you want to receive an offer for the assembly. Your local dealer will then quote you a price for the assembly. This offer is still completely free.

• Yes. All assembly videos can be viewed on our website. Click on the following link: https://www.lugarde.nl/montage-videos/

• On the right side of the screen you will see a green button with 'click here and view your garden house in 3D'.

You can refresh the webpage with your F5 button or with CTRL+SHIFT+R.

If this doesn't solve the issue, your device may not support the standard requirements for 3D.

In this case, you can simply continue to configure and send the configuration at 'completion'. This does not constitute an order but a dealer will then contact you. The dealer can also send you the 3D view.

Any customization you make in the configurator will regenerate the 3D view. This way you always have the most recent visualization. However, this takes a lot of processing power from your device. It can help to temporarily turn off the 3D and turn it back on later. You do this by refreshing the page by pressing F5.

If the configuration is giving you issues, you can always send the current status to Lugarde at the 'completion' step. We will then look for a dealer in your area to contact you and help you. This is obviously without obligations.

You can also leave your questions and/or comments in the comments section of the 'completion' step.

This is possible. To do this, you can click on the menu (at the upper right corner of the page) to create an account. With this account you can save your configuration so you can finish it later.

• Log in (or register in case you have not registered yet).
• Click on the 'menu' button and click on the 'open' folder. There you will see the configuration.
• Click the file name and open the design.
• You can then modify the design as needed.

Your design will be forwarded to your nearest Lugarde dealer. This dealer will contact you to discuss your design and answer any questions you may have asked in the comments field.

For example, if you want to move your canopy from the right side to the left of your garden house, you first need to remove the awning and then insert one on the other side.

The duration of the warranty is 5 years from the time of ordering.

Lugarde gives a 5 year warranty on manufacturing and construction defects. Damage caused by human intervention, animals or natural disasters are not covered under the guarantee. Complaints caused by a bad foundation or improper assembly, poor maintenance and/or the use of a wrong maintenance product are not covered by the warranty
